Lost property

Jeff Johnstone —

Uniforms and other lost property are on display in our school foyer. Please take the time to check if anything belongs to your child.

Also a reminder that we are putting in place a new system, starting next term, to sort lost property more efficiently as follows:

  • Lost property will be checked weekly by school admin staff.
  • Correctly named uniform and other items will be returned to the student (as we currently do).
  • Unnamed uniform will be donated to SPA to be sold as second hand uniform.
  • Other unnamed items will be donated to charity or recycled.

For this system to work well, we strongly encourage you to ensure that every item of your child's uniform is named. This includes correctly renaming any second hand uniform you may have purchased. We suggest that you purchase uniform labels e.g. www.nameit.co.nz as writing on uniforms with permanent marker can fade with multiple washes.

We also encourage you to ensure that other items including water bottles and lunchboxes are well named.

The school holidays provides a good opportunity to ensure all items are named. We are keen to support families in ensuring any named items lost are returned to their child.
