Canon Ball Challenge goes off with a Bang!

Andrew Smart —

Three lucky Sherwood students will be catching up with Damian McKenzie for a skills and drills session.

Wednesday morning started with a bang as the Canon Ball Challenge kicked off. Three 2019 Rugby World Cup balls were hidden around the school grounds. A crowd of eager students assembled outside BASC at 8.20am. As soon as the siren sounded they were off like an All Blacks utility fullback! The rugby balls were found in the Enviro-Garden, the sand pit and under a camouflaged pile of leaves. Congratulations to the three students from Years 2, 4 and 6 for finding them. Not only do they get to keep the World Cup replica rugby balls, they also win a ticket to a skills and drills session with Damian McKenzie (All Black, Chiefs & Waikato Mitre 10 Cup player) held at North Harbour Stadium.  Thank you to everyone that turned up and had a go!
