The Harcourts Cooper and Co Shore to Shore 5km Fun Run/Walk is Back!!
After a 2 year break, North Shore's favourite 5km fun run is returning and Sherwood is gearing up to get back into it.
What is the Shore to Shore you ask?
The Harcourts Cooper and Co Shore to Shore is the North Shore’s favourite 5km fun run with just approximately 5,000 participants entering every year.
The event starts at Takapuna Grammar School, heads along both the picturesque Takapuna and Milford beaches and ends at Milford Reserve.
This event brings together the North Shore community and supports local schools by providing them with an opportunity to raise funds for much-needed sports gear.
A great opportunity for Friends, Parents, Aunties, Uncles and Grandparents get together, dress up, and join us for the fun!
2023 promises to be another great event with plenty of awesome costumes and spot prizes up for grabs!!
Our streets will once again be filled with a whole lot of laughter and enthusiasm!
When does it take place?
Sunday 26th March
When do registrations close?
Sunday 19th March
Why should you enter?
The Shore to Shore is an awesome event that promotes a healthy active lifestyle. Every student and family member that enters the Shore to Shore as part of Sherwood earns the school "sports dollars" that goes towards getting new equipment for students to use during class and at breaktimes. Participants also have lots of chances to win spot prizes. We once had a Sherwood student win a new bike two years in a row! After the event, participants can chill out at Sherwood's tent site for a free sausage sizzle.
How can I enter:
Visit the Shore to Shore website: http://shoretoshore.co.nz/ and make sure to register under Sherwood.
Don't forget to dress up!
At each Shore to Shore event, Sherwood has a different dress up theme. This year's theme is Superheroes! So come along dressed up as your favourite hero from a book, comic, movie, game or even create your own! Mr. Smart has already entered and is working hard on his superhero costume which will be revealed at the next assembly!

Bonus Challenge:
Who doesn't like a bit of friendly competition?...We are running a little in house competition at Sherwood to see who can get the most entries. The class who gets the most entries will win a free pizza lunch. Also, the team (e.g. Kauri, Matai, Rata etc) who gets the most entries will receive a free gear bag full of equipment for their classes to use.
