Sherwood Primary School was honoured to participate in the Northern Bays Arts Festival that was held at the Bruce Mason Theatre in Takapuna on Thursday 13th June.

This event happens every two years. Every school in the Northern Bays comes together for two massed choir items and an item of their own. This year the theme was “Greatest Shows”.

Auditions were held, commitments were made and practices were held every morning before school for six and a half weeks. While Mrs Davidson was the main choreographer, the children were invited to develop ideas.

Sherwood chose a child-friendly fusion of ‘Time Warp’ and ‘Thriller’. Neither was a true version of itself but it was clear what shows they were from.

And it was very successful, receiving huge applause from the crowd. Our children made us and their families very proud.
