Sherwood welcomes Willow Park to a Day of Badminton Action!

Our Year 5 & 6 Badminton team has been working hard the last couple terms in preparation for the 2024 North Harbour Primary Schools Badminton Team Challenge. Unfortunately due to construction hold ups, North Harbour Badminton was unable to host this year's competition.

Luckily our friends from Willow Park School had the wonderful idea to have a badminton exchange between our two schools so that our teams still got to play some form of badminton!

So on Monday 23rd September, we welcomed Willow Park School students to Sherwood for a day of badminton action. It was fantastic to see the two schools playing competitive games in such a positive manner. Thank you to the Willow Park students for being wonderful guests.

Although the day focused on fun, both schools couldn't help but keep track of the results. We are happy to announce that after 36 intense games, Sherwood came out on top with 21 wins in total. Congratulations to both schools for playing the games in good spirit and building connections through sport.

As we look to the future, we hope this exchange becomes a regular feature leading up to the Primary Schools Badminton Team Challenge.
