Happy New Year!

Jeff Johnstone —

Welcome to the Year of the Ox!

Chinese New Year, or Lunar New Year, marks the first day of the lunar calendar, the most important event on the Chinese cultural calendar and it is celebrated across many parts of East and Southeast Asia. The first day of the New Year is Friday 12 February. It is the Year of the Ox, known as the most hardworking animal on the Chinese horoscope.

To celebrate the new year, staff have decorated the hall foyer, with an opportunity to write and post your new year wishes. We have displays in the school library and teachers will also share information about the new year with their students.
