Promoting Term 3 events!

Last term, our Student Leaders were busy planning, organising and presenting activities for NZ Music Month. These included assembly performances and lunchtime busking sessions.

There was also an across school competition to learn to sign the waiata, “Tutira Mai Nga Iwi”. Congratulations to Room 5/6 at Oteha Valley and Room 18 at Glamorgan School who were our Junior and Senior winning classes.

This term, our Student Leaders would like all our schools to run events for:

  • Daffodil Day on Friday 25th August (Term 3 Week 6).

  • Cultural Week for Māori Language Week starting on the Monday 11th September. (Term 3 Week 9).

Student leaders will consult with their principals and WSLs to decide how each event will look within their own school e.g. Daffodil Day - mufti day, bake sale... Cultural Week - cultural performances, games, food...

Keep an eye out as the Student Leaders will introduce these events to your school via a group video!
