Sherwood's first outing to the North Harbour Team Challenge was a smash!

On Thursday 27th May, Sherwood's badminton team made their way to Badminton North Harbour to compete in the 2021 Team Challenge. 

Despite it being the first time in while since Sherwood has entered a team, it was certainly not the first time these students have played. 

Showing exceptional HEART values and athleticism, the team should be incredibly proud of their efforts. The players put in a lot of hard work outside of school hours at their own badminton club lessons and it showed. Over the course of the competition, the team played 20 singles matches and 10 doubles matches against other schools from the North Shore. From those 30 games they managed to win 28 of them! This secured them 1st place in Section 1 and crowned champions of the competition. Congratulations team!

Thank you to all the parents who supported the team either by providing transport or supervised and cheered the team on.
