All Sherwood students are allocated to a 'house' group on enrolment. If they already have a sibling here they will be put into the same one.

House groups are across year-level teams of students.

At Sherwood School, we have four house groups each named after an island in the Hauraki Gulf. Each house has a colour associated with it.

Our house groups are: 

Rangitoto - Red

Tiritiri Matangi - Green

Waiheke - Blue

Motutapu - Yellow

When we do house activities, it's a great opportunity for older and younger students to work together. 

We run house competitions to create enthusiasm through some friendly inter-house rivalry. Sometimes we ask students to wear clothing in house colours to add to the fun.

Each house has two student leaders. Soon we will be announcing our new house leaders and presenting them with a badge.
