Year 4 Visit Auckland Botanic Gardens

Sue Martin —

Our Nikau students had a great time out in the Auckland Botanic Gardens learning about native birds and trees.

They learnt that birds are an essential part of our eco system in growing the forest by distributing the seeds of the native trees. A highlight of this trip was finding clues and solutions to existing threats and problems around our birds. The warm weather and sunshine was a bonus to this trip. A big thanks to our parent helpers who took the time to help supervise our students.
