Phishing - stay safe online! Digital Citizenship

Jo Apperley —

What is phishing? The fraudulent practice of sending emails purporting to be from reputable companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal information, such as passwords and credit card numbers.

Our digital citizenship programme is to teach our students to:

  • keep passwords and usernames safe
  • not to share their devices with others
  • log off or put device into sleep mode or change settings so if lid closes, it requires a sign in when logging in again
  • not share personal information online with anyone
  • use school accounts when logging in or signing up with a new programme, under the direction of your teacher.
