2020 Sports Wrap Up

Andrew Smart —

They say it's been a year of years but it didn't stop our students playing the sports they love.

As with a lot of things this year, so many sports and activities either got postponed or cancelled. Students missed out on trainings, games and tournaments. Even though our teams and athletes faced these hurdles, they demonstrated one of those values we have being hearing a lot about. That value is resilience! They could have easily packed it in and said "Well, we can try again next year." But not these Sherwood kids. As soon as the all clear was announced, our athletes were straight back onto court, field, pitch and into the pool. Eager to get active again, their resilience paid off and we had an awesome year in the realm of sports. A massive congratulations to all our teams and athletes for 2020, whether you played for the school or a local club, you have done amazing things this year and when you look back it wasn't all bad!

I would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to all the parents and staff who helped our teams and students this year. You are all simply amazing and I cannot praise you enough. Without your awesome help, many of our students wouldn't get the opportunity to play!
