Carolyn Crow —

Kia ora koutou. So here we are in the last part of the term!

As I look back at the term's events, I am so impressed with the huge variety of things our students have been involved in. The range of events, activities, sports, and clubs allows every child to have a chance to shine, and the opportunity to follow their passions. It is also a real credit to the energy, enthusiasm, and commitment of all the staff, students and parents involved. You can read about many of these events in this newsletter. We were particularly proud of the opportunity to show off our school to the Minister of Education and other special guests at the Matariki Festival.

Alongside these, there has been a huge amount of learning going on, for both teachers and students. As you will see in the article on Linc-Ed, the teachers have been learning to use our student management system to record student progress. We will then make it available to you as an alternative to the traditional report. They have spent many hours on this task, as like any new system it takes time. The information you see now will continue to be enhanced as they master additional features of the system.

Over the two-week break, I hope that you are able to enjoy some quality time with your families and friends. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the 22nd of July, refreshed and ready for a new term.
