If you have friends who live outside our school home zone but would love their child to attend Sherwood School, please share with them the following notice from our School Board.

Public Notice - Out of zone applications for enrolment

The Board invites applications from parents who wish to enrol their children at Sherwood Primary School for next year. We encouraged interested families to complete an out of zone application, available by emailing enrolment@sherwoodprimary.school.nz

The deadline for receipt of applications for out-of-zone places is Wednesday 24 November 2021. Parents of students who live within the home zone should also apply by this date to assist the school to plan appropriately for next year.

The Board has determined that the following places are likely to be available for out of zone students next year at the following year levels:

• Year 0 - 16
• Year 1 - 12
• Year 2 - 6
• Year 3 - 6

The exact number of places will depend on the number of applications received from students who live within the school’s home zone.

Enrolment at the school is governed by an enrolment scheme, details of which are listed on the school website. If the number of out of zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot. If a ballot is required, it will be held on Wednesday 1 December 2021.

Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.
