This term starts with 4 classes enjoying a belated trip to Stardome. It’s always an interesting experience with learning for everyone.

The year 6 students are beginning to learn some dances for their Graduation in December. There is a real atmosphere of nervous anticipation before but they always come back to class proud of their efforts and what they’ve learnt. During this time, the year 5 learners will have different opportunities to develop and demonstrate their creativity using various tools, such as stop motion, K’nex, Edisons and Tournament of Minds problem solving. We really look forward to seeing how they cooperate to solve different challenges.

Our Inquiry work this term is around the big idea of ‘My choices affect living things and their relationships with each other’. We will be learning about ecosystems and biomes and how actions can effect the balance within these. The students have been well engaged with this.
