Students from Years 1 to 6 compete in the 2022 Auckland Primary Schools Snowsports Championships.
On Tuesday 16th August, 12 students from Years 1 to 6 travelled to Snowplanet to compete in 2022 Auckland Primary Schools Snowsports Championships.
There were two sections for students to participate in. The Time Trial Slalom and a Rail Jam. Students got 40 minutes in the morning to get warmed up and they didn't need much encouragement. The hardest part was trying to get them back inside...
In the time trial, athletes got two runs with taking the best one as their score. For the rail jam, it was optional for athletes and gave them the chance to go over the big jump and show some razzle dazzle on the rails/boxes.
Congratulations to all students that participated, you demonstrated some awesome skiing/snowboarding skills! check out the highlights video below:
Well done to Cara Zhang for placing 2nd in the Year 1 to 4 division for the Rail Jam.
A big thank you to all the parents that helped supervise the students from the comfort of the cafe :) Thank you also to Sarah Iles for sponsoring the team bibs for our athletes.
We are looking forward to doing it all again next year!
