Plastic free lunch box competition
As July was plastic free month, the Enviro students thought it would be a great idea to run a plastic free lunch box competition.
They promoted the event to each class as a motivation to keep all lunch boxes plastic free.
On plastic free lunchbox day, two of the Enviro leaders went around classes to take a survey of the plastic in each class's lunch boxes.
Most classes did really well but Matai W was the winner. They had only 2 pieces of plastic which is fantastic.
To celebrate, Matai W had a pizza lunch. They enjoyed their reward and gobbled up every last bit!
We'll keep encouraging all children (and mums and dads!) to keep their lunch boxes plastic and rubbish free.
