Year 6 Star Gazing Evening

Our Year 6 students were lucky enough to have Niven from the Auckland Astrological Society join us last Thursday evening. 

It began with a presentation about our solar system, its vastness, stars, planets and much more. The sky cleared and the children then used telescopes to gaze at the night sky. 

Constellation apps on the ipads proved lots of entertainment, decorating the sky with images. Warm milo and a snack helped keep the cold at bay. A fun evening was had by all.
