Chess Team

On Monday 29th May, Sherwood competed in the North Shore cluster chess tournament at Murrays Bay Primary School. For many of our ākonga, it was their first time attending a chess tournament. 

Everyone did amazingly well and Sherwood came 1st place, winning the pathway to compete in the regional tournament. 

Justin Wang came first place overall with the perfect score of 7 out of 7.
Maximilian Fang came close second overall with 6.5 out of 7.
