It's been 2 years since the last Harcourts Cooper & Co Shore to Shore Fun Run/Walk. It was wonderful to be back out in the sun running along the beaches with thousands of other people from the North Shore Community.

A massive thank you to everyone who registered and participated in the event. We were absolutely blown away by how many people from our community were keen to promote an active healthy lifestyle and help out our school (and of course hopefully win a prize or 2!).

Weather conditions were perfect for running and the superheroes from Sherwood were out in force ready to take on the challenge. There were some fantastic costumes seen out and about and looks like plenty of fun was had by all.

When it came to the prize giving at the end of the event, the Sherwood community clearly had their lucky shoes on. Some of our students won spot prizes, bags of sports equipment and can you believe it, once again someone from Sherwood won the big bike prize (that's 4 years in a row now!). We may not have had the most people registered but Sherwood did win the highest percentage registered which means the school received extra vouchers to go towards more sports equipment. We couldn't have done it without you all, so thank you once again.

As is tradition, our teachers attempted to take out the best dressed category. Although it was light in contestants, we still had our work cut out. Luckily we had an ace up our sleeve! Our Batman Principal pulled off some outstanding breakdancing moves to win over the crowd ensuring our 3rd consecutive title.

A big thank you to our BBQ team for running the sausage sizzle after the event, we really appreciate the time and effort you put in to making sure our runners/walkers were fueled up and hydrated post event.

We are looking forward to doing it all again next year bigger and better! (If you have great dress up theme idea, make sure to let Mr. Smart know!)
