Sherwood students and their families experienced the excitement of the Women's Cricket World Cup first hand!
During this term, students in Years 4 to 6 are taking part in the Cric-Kids Unit, an educational resource which aligns with the New Zealand Curriculum. The aim of the resource is to support teaching and learning through the context of a major event, that event being the 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup.
As part of the unit, we were allocated free tickets to specific games to share with our Sherwood Community. It was a great opportunity to get into the action and get some firsthand learning experiences from the professionals. The two games on offer were:
