Last week, Sherwood was fortunate to have two events as part of the Korea Festival 2019 Schools Programme.

The Rata team have kicked off this term learning about Migration. We have been learning about the various reasons why people migrate and the journeys they take to live here in New Zealand.

The keen team of gardeners got stuck in and have begun clearing the fence line and space to create a butterfly garden area.

Sherwood Enviro Garden Working Bee! Can you spare an hour or so and join in? As the saying goes "many hands makes light work". We are looking for more volunteers to join us and would greatly appreciate your help to clear the unused compost bay, weeding, clearing and tidying around the garden area. When: Saturday the 9th November Time: 1-4 pm - Meet at Junior Playground. FREE Sausage sizzle for volunteers, and ice blocks for the kids.

Last Friday Kauri A were the first class to go over and visit the Northcross School's Enviro team. This group of Enviro student leaders shared their learning and experience with us.
