SBHS has a strong tradition of raising funds via workdays to provide extra facilities and resources for its students. Workdays began in 1978, broken only by the events of 2011. 

On Friday May 13 the boys set off to work – Shirley helping Shirley with this year’s proceeds going towards Innovative Learning Environment Resources and Outdoor Furniture. This idea was forwarded to the student BOT rep from the student body.

For those students who could not find work they came to school prepared to work and enhance their physical environment.

The school community is thankful to all students who put in a huge effort during the day or during their part-time employment. Students raised just over $30 000.
