Congratulations to Alex (Year 12) and Lucas Dowell  (Year 10) who were in Wellington last weekend competing in the 2017 Bouldering National Championships. 

Despite some tough competition, Lucas finished 1st in his age range, and Alex finished 2nd for his age range.  An outstanding achievement!

Lucas was named in the 2017 NZ Youth Team and both Alex and Lucas were named in the 2017 Oceania Teams for their categories (Youth A and B respectively). This follows the NZ Bouldering Series this year.

Ice Speed Skating

Congratulations to Ethan De Rose (Year 11) who has been selected to represent NZ at the Junior World Championships for Short Track Ice Speed Skating 2nd-4th Mar 2018 in Warsaw, Poland. 

Ethan will travel to Melbourne to compete in the Australian Championships from the 8th to 10th December followed by a development camp. He will then fly to Latvia to train before heading to Poland for the Junior World Championships in March.

St John

Congratulations to Corbin Dempsey (Year 10) and Dylan Campbell (Year10)  who have qualified for the  St John South Island Regional Competitions. Soon they will travel to Greymouth  to  represent Christchurch in their divisions in competitions against other districts from throughout the South Island. We wish them all the best.
