We caught up with SBHS Students Noah Westwood and James McCulloch, who were working on the New Campus as part of their gateway course.

They have been waking up in the frosty mornings to get to the campus and work a full day with the Southbase staff. This has taught them many valuable skills including what it actually means to be working a full time job in the building trade. 

When we visited, they were working on the stairs for the new school (as you can see in the photo).

Another SBHS Student, Daley Te Ruuri, has also been working on the New Campus focusing on the roofing for the new school. We were unable to catch up with him as he was there the week before we visited.
