Late last term, a cheque for $2850.30 was given to The  Child Cancer Foundation following a mufti-day and City to Surf fundraising events. 

The donation  was handed over by Mario Williams, Year 13 student to Lydia Hemmingway of the Child Cancer Christchurch branch. 

Also involved in raising awareness and organising was Ms Maria Lemalie (Assistant Principal), David McPherson (Chairperson of the Community Council) and Sue Nesbit (International Director). 

The City to Surf was completed by 174 students, staff and families of SBHS, and re-named Walk with Mario. 

City to Surf is an unique experience in Christchurch and all of our current international students completed it.
