Each year 14 students from both Christchurch and Kurashiki are involved in an exchange of two weeks. The Japanese students stay here in July/August (Term 3) and NZ students go in Sept/Oct holidays. Students must be aged between 13 and 15 years old in Sept 2016.

Requirements:

· Have a proven strong interest in Japanese culture (do not need to be studying Japanese language)

· Be willing to host a Japanese student in July/August – they will be the host family in Japan

· Be able to pay cost of trip estimated at $3600 (this will cover anything but personal spending money)
