Course Description: This course is designed for students interested in a career in the Hospitality Industry or who wish to gain a career in the area of Food Technology (Food Science and Food Production). 

Recommended Entry Criteria: Nil

Qualifications to be gained: Level 1 Achievement Standards and Level 1 and Level 1 Unit Standards

Food Studies:   12Fds   Full Year

Course Description: This course is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in the Hospitality Industry or who wish to study Nutrition at tertiary level.

Recommended Entry Criteria: minimum of 10 credits from 11Cul. Otherwise Level 1 Certificate.

Qualifications to be gained: Level 2 Achievement Standards credits and Unit Standard credits

Course Description: This course extends skills and knowledge gained in 12Fds and is aimed at those students intending to enter the Hospitality Industry, or study Nutrition at tertiary level.

Recommended Entry Criteria: minimum of 9 credits plus Unit Standard 167 Food Safety, if 12Fds studied. Otherwise Level 2 Certificate

Qualifications to be gained: Level 3 Achievement Standards credits.

Hospitality: 12Hos  Full Year

Course Description: This course is designed for students who have a genuine interest in working in the Hospitality Industry and are intending on attending a polytechnic to study hospitality

Recommended Entry Criteria: Preference given to those students who have studied 11Cul and have also passed two Food Achievement Standards. Otherwise Level 1 Certificate

Qualifications to be gained: Level 2 Unit Standards and ARA Knife Skills Safe Food Certificate.

Course Description: This course is designed for students who have a genuine interest in working in the Hospitality Industry and are intending on attending a polytechnic to study hospitality
