Another big day of racing with a number of crews progressing to the next round. The Under 16 Eight stormed into the National Final with a strong performance in heat racing knocking St Pauls Collegiate, North Island Bronze medallist into the repecharges. With less than eight seconds separating the field, Saturdays race for the national title promises to be an exciting one. Other boats to perform well included;

· Under 15 Coxed Four – placing second in their heat, now in repecharges

· Under 17 Coxed Quad – progressing to the quarter finals

· Under 16 Single Sculls (X3) – two have progressed into the quarter finals while a third will fight it out in repecharges

Unfortunately the wind played its part in the afternoon with all racing cancelled before the repecharges could begin. Tomorrow will be a busy day as organisers look to catch up the schedule.

With heat racing finished the SBHS row squad is in a good position to progress further into the week. With both Eights already assured of a National final, spirits are high in the camp.
