Hockey

SBHS students Shahid Ali and  Luca Jugovac were ball boys at the recent New Zealand Black Sticks  versus Germany hockey match. 

The boys were chosen by Canterbury Hockey as they were both U15 Canterbury rep players in 2018.

The game was played at at Nga Puna Wai, on Saturday 15th February.

Germany won the game 3-1.

Another student, Charlie Wise had the opportunity to train with the New Zealand Men’s BlackSticks

Christchurch  hosted five FIH ProLeague competition games over two weekends. 

Congratulations to old boy Keeley Legge (2013-2017) who has been selected in the 2019 Canterbury U21 men’s team. The team will contest for the New Zealand National U21 title in May with the tournament being held in North Harbour. Good luck, Keeley.

Judo

Congratulations to Dylan Payne competed at the Central District's judo tournament in Nelson over the weekend of 9th March and came away with gold in Cadet Men under 55kg, silver in Junior Men under 55kg and Bronze in the Cadet Mens Open.
