Ice Hockey

Congratulations to Harry Tappin who was recently awarded Best Defenseman and Most Sportsmanlike Player, in the NZ Midget Ice Hockey League.  

Surf Lifesaving

Congratulations to Xyron Burns who  recently competed in the Canterbury Championships for Surf Lifesaving. Xyron was placed 1st in the 2 km run. 

He also competed in the South Island Championships and was placed 2nd in the 2km run.  

Canterbury  Athletics Junior Championships 

Congratulations to Quinn Andis who competed at the Canterbury Athletics Championships on the 3rd and 4th March, achieving the following great results;   200m -  3rd 24.34s,  400m -  3rd 55.94s,  100m -   2nd 16.63s,   High Jump -  6th 1.60m,  Long Jump -  1st 5.86m,  Shot Put - 1st 11.75m and Discus 2nd 38.10m.  For the full results visit

Track Cycling

Congratulations to Ezra Williams-Gillies who competed at the  track nationals on the weekend of 10th March.

Ezra rode a 3 sec. personal best  in his 500m time trial placing him in 6th position. This put him in the A team for the team Sprint event. 

His team qualifed for the finals and went on to win gold for Canterbury.
