Racing Results 2020

The Shirley Boys' High School Senior Team is made up of eight students boys from year 11 to 13;  Zac Duncan, Henry Bagshaw, Caleb Wilson, Isaac Cantrick, Jordan Sutherland, Matthew Fairbrother, Howie McFadyen and Dom Pulley.

They recently competed in the South Island Hillary Challenge  six-hour event, at Peel Forest.

Going against 14 other teams from as far a field as Invercargill and Golden Bay, the SBHS team came fourth in the Mountain Bike Rogain.  

The running section had them fighting through thick native bush at one stage, which unfortunately slowed them down. 

The team came a respectful sixth overall. Well done boys!

Congratulations to the combined Adventure racing team who came second overall in the race on Wednesday 9th September.

The team consists of Avonside Girls' and Shirley Boys' students and we are extremely proud of their efforts!
