The Skoda Southern Tour was held in Blenheim from the 26th to 27th of August. We took 10 cyclists up on Friday to compete in the two day tour consisting of a Time trial, Criterium, Hill climb and Road Race. The races were held in Seddon and along the hilly road of Yealands Estate. Frankie Revell in U15 came 3rd in both the TT and Criterium, these were NZ titles this year so he came away with two medals. The events all work towards three jerseys (like the Tour de France), the Sprint Ace, King of the Mountain and General Classification. Frankie placed 3rd in each of these categories which was a fantastic effort. It was great weekend of racing, all of the riders gave it their best amongst some really competitive fields. Our next event is Nationals at the end of Term 3.
