The 2022 Under 15 Rugby season started early, invites to attend fitness, strength and conditioning training in March saw a large uptake of players looking for an edge. After pre-season training, testing and trials an impressive group of 23 were selected.

A large number of ‘Grading Games’ commenced including mismatches and one-sided games, high scores and frustration. A competition round (Section ‘A’) of six teams was selected. Performances by our group were impressive, playing with desire and no fear. At the conclusion of the Competition round our team where unbeaten and joint winners with Christchurch Boys' High. Disappointment in the final coming second to CBHS, who when on to win the New Zealand Under 15 Tournament.

Other highlights during the 2022 season were winning the school exchange (mid-week) games against Nelson & Marlborough Boys'. Further at the end of the season, again beating Nelson & Timaru Boys' at the South Island Tournament.

A 2022 season again affected by Covid & illness. All players showed when on, they were an awesome watch, impressive and unbeatable. Congratulations to the team, supporters, whanau and coaches on a memorable 2022 season.
