Although the school year has just begun, twelve Year 13 students from Shirley Boys High School have already successfully completed a Barista Skills course at Ara. 

Students had to do approximately  25 hours of online study before they attended a three-day, intensive skills course. This included a roastery visit and finished with a ‘real-life’ public made to order coffee service that really put the pressure on (over 70 coffees in just a couple of hours!). 

All students rose to the challenge and have now added this valuable skill to their CV.
