Here you will find all the important dates coming up.
Please find below some more important information and a reminder of the important dates that were emailed last month.
Contact details at the new school
All of the schools contact details, phone number, extension numbers and email addresses, will transfer to the new school.
Community Open Day
SBHS and AGHS will be holding a Community Open Day for existing families and the community to come and have a look through the new school. This will be on Sunday 19 May from 10.00am-12.30pm. All welcome.
Open Night
We will be holding our annual Open Night on Thursday May 23 6.30-8.30pm for students and parents looking to enrol at SBHS for 2020.
Important Dates
Monday 8-12 April - Student Office closed.
Wednesday 10 April - Last day for students. Finish with an assembly that will start at 12.50pm. Boys will be released at the end of the assembly. Parents welcome. School buses will depart at 2.00pm. School reception closed.
Thursday 11 April - Staff only required on site. School reception closed. Any students who attend Ara or Gateway courses still need to attend those on the Staff Only Days.
Friday 12 April - Last day of Term 1. Staff only required on site. School reception closed.
Term 1 Holiday - Friday 12 April - Sunday 28 April.
Monday 29 April - First day of Term 2. Staff only required on site.
Tuesday 30 April - Staff only day in the morning. The school office re-opens.
- 1 pm - Senior Exec, Junior Exec and Form class leaders meet in House groups by respective House flags in the car park area outside reception/cultural space – off Travis Road. Rest of students not required.
Wednesday 1 May 11.00 am: Y13’s meet in House groups by respective House flags in the car park area outside reception/cultural space – off Travis Road – Students can park on the surrounding streets. They need to abide by parking restrictions and road rules.
- 11.45 am Y11 and Y12’s meet in House groups by respective House flags in the car park area outside reception/cultural space – off Travis Road.
Y9 and 10 not required.
Thursday 2 May - 11.00 am Y9 and 10 meet in House groups by respective House flags in the car park area outside reception/cultural space – off Travis Road – Y11 – 13 not required.
Students will be welcomed into the school and taken for a tour of the school on their respective day. Boys will only need their device so that they can be “logged” onto the new school system.
They will be given a copy of the site map and a new timetable. For the majority of students, the only change to their term one timetable will be the rooms.
Students will be released for the day at approximately 1pm. If any students have issues connecting their device to the new school system, they need to stay and get it sorted before they leave.
Students are required to be in full school uniform.
Friday 3 May: Normal Timetable resumes – starting at 8.30 am. School buses will be running. Bus timetable attached.
We have had many kind offers of help during this transition and we would like to thank you for that but our staff and the removal company have this all under control.
