The following subjects are available for students to study in 2019
Tourism: 12Tou Full Year
Course Description: This course offers a range of themes and skills relevant to gaining achievement of Level 2 National Certificate in Tourism (Introductory Skills). Themes include the characteristics and work roles of tourism, analysing the business of tourism and knowledge of national and international tourist destinations. Skills developed will include the use of the internet, research and time-management.
This course is internally assessed throughout the year. The 5 Unit standards offered are set by the Tourism Industry, ATTTO (Aviation, Tourism, and Travel Training Organisation).
Recommended Entry Criteria: Nil
UE Literacy: No
Qualifications to be gained: 18 Unit Standards credits towards Level 2 NCEA as well as the National Certificate of Tourism and Travel.

Themes include gaining knowledge of specific tourist destinations, the economic impacts of tourism and promoting destination New Zealand. Skills developed will include the use of the internet, research and time-management.
This course is internally assessed throughout the year. The 4 Unit Standards offered are set by the Tourism Industry, ATTTO (Aviation, Tourism, and Travel Training Organisation).
Recommended Entry Criteria: Nil
Qualifications to be gained: 14 Unit standards towards Level 3 NCEA as well as the National Certificate of Tourism and Travel.
