There is an opportunity for a student learning Japanese (in Year 9 or 10) to be part of the Christchurch/Kurashiki Sister City Exchange programme. 

This is an annual event which involves Kurashiki students coming  to Christchurch for two weeks in our July School Holidays and Christchurch students going to  Kursahiki, Japan for two weeks, mostly in our September/October school holidays.

The cost involved is estimated to be $3600 and the family would be expected to host the Japanese student.

• Either Year 9 or 10 (any Year 9 students must be at least 13 on 1st October)
  
• Has or able to get a NZ Passport
  
• Able to raise the cost of the trip (approximately $3600)
  
• Able to host the Japanese student
