Music Technology:   12 Mut   Full Year

Course Description: This course will develop skills in the theoretical and practical use of Technical equipment in the Performing Arts field: Lighting, Songwriting, PA systems, and Digital recording systems for recording Musical Performance and Arrangements, plus Compositions, with a particular emphasis on modern music, as well as the Music industry. 

Recommended Entry Criteria: Music reading skills are advantageous. It is also an advantage to also be studying one of 11/12/13Mus.

Qualifications to be gained: Level 1 and 2 Unit Standards credits

UE Literacy: No

Approximate Contributions: $70 Level 2 Workbooks. CDs for recordings.

Restrictions: Should have a musical instrument and be receiving tuition.

Performance Solos and Group assessments are not part of the 13Mut course.

Recommended Entry Criteria: Preferably students would have completed 12Mut before 13Mut is attempted. Basic music reading skills are an advantage. It is also an advantage to be studying one of 11/12/13 Mus.
