For the first time Shirley International fielded two teams in the UC Mud Run held for High School students.

We were very proud of our nine lads as they bonded together in two teams and challenged the Mud Run this year.

In the Orange Team or "Shirley Mud Fish" were Yuta ( Japan) Reuben ( NZ, Yuta's host brother) Matthew ( Slovakia)and Liew from Thailand. The Yellow Team or  "Shirley Mud Crabs were Atsuki, Kotaro and Koki (Japan) Thong (Vietnam) and Bohan (China).

The Mud Fish were quite competitive. Reuben was a great role model. He encouraged the lads and got them across the line as a team.

The Mud Crabs laughed their way around the course and Thong ran in carrying a great big swede (the vegetable variety!)

Despite it being more difficult, wet cold and muddy than they possibly expected, they showed great perseverence and resilence and made it to the end.

Well done lads. True Shirley Men!
