Shirley Boys High School Senior Prizegiving 2017

The Shirley Boys High School Senior Prizegiving was held on Thursday 2nd November. Following the tradition started in 2016 all Year 13 boys graduated as well as received their subject prizes.   

It was a treat to have the band Nomad return to their old school and play their new single "All of My Heart". Other performances were Gideon Valavala, winner of the Andrew Withington Trophy for Top Instrumentalist; and Fuzhun who won the Demaine Robertson Award for Outstanding Contributions to Culture. 

The top academic award at Year 11, the Headmaster’s Prize went to Bhumik Patel, at Year 12 . The Kirby Prize went to Jack Coumbe. 

The top Year 13 awards were the Old Boys Prize, awarded on the basis of character, scholarship, sport and or prominence in other school activities went to the 2017 Head Boy Connor Edwards; the PTA prize for proxime accessit, the runner up to the Dux of the School was Jonty Teague and the PTA prize for Dux of the school was Blake Kennedy.
