The 1st XI played their annual game against The Willows in late February on an unseasonal cool and overcast Sunday. As has become tradition, a good number of supporters turned up to watch the game. The Willows team featured several Old Boys including Principal Tim Grocott; former 1st XI captains Tim Hampton Matehe, Brad Entwistle and Ryan Entwistle plus former 1st XI players Casey Marsh and Tom Music. Nigel Marsh a former 1st XI coach and Dan Vann who has coached several of the boys over the years were also in the Willows team.

Despite some good performances from the boys the Willows side proved too strong for 1st XI winning by over 100 runs

Ekam Singh was named batsman of the day and Madoc Wiltshire bowler of the day for the Shirley Boys Team
