University of Auckland Top Achiever Scholarship, Surfing, Ice Hockey

Sean Takai has been awarded a University of Auckland Top Achiever Scholarship. They are awarded to students who have demostrated exceptional levels of academic excellence, all-round ability, and leadership. The University received over 1500 applications for these scholarships and 261 have been awarded throughout New Zealand for study commencing in 2017. We wish Sean all the best for 2017 and beyond.

Congratulations to Zac Van Eekelen who placed 9th and Zayne Stringer who placed 36th in their age group at the recent National Scholastic Surf Champs held in Gisbourne. The Canterbury team they were part of finished 3rd over all. Well done boys!

Another big congratulations goes out to Ryan Fraser, Matheson Graham, Finley Forbes, Harry Tappin who have been named on the U18 NZ Ice Hockey team.
