The New Zealand schools Japanese trivia championships were held for the first time on 17 June. Severn enthusiastic Year 9 Japanese students from Shirley Boys' entered the competition. It was exciting to come 1st in the first round but devastating to go to the bottom in the second round. We could not comeback after that but the atmosphere was great. The boys enjoyed dressing up, eating Japanese snacks and they learned new Japanese culture and a Japanese song. They promised me they would win the trophy next year.
