Movember 2017

Blake Wells —

It’s that time of year again, where we go about changing the face of men’s health.

Last year we raised over $1000, which went towards valuable research into the various health issues that men face (testicular and prostate cancer and mental health). This was a great effort, but we can do better! I think it’s within our ability to get more than $1500 this year, for this valuable cause.

We are in a somewhat unique position, in that we are able to talk about these types of issues with the young men we see every day, and given that the most common age rage for testicular cancer is 16-35, I think we have an obligation to start these conversations.

So jump on board! You don’t even have to be a male to raise money. When you join you can indicate if you are a male or a female. You can still raise some funds and start the conversations.

Just follow this link to our SBHS Mo Bro’s page and join up (you can use your Facebook details to join.)

There are just a couple of regulations: You must be cleanly shaven on the first of November, and you can only grow a moustache (not a goatee etc.), but you can still get really creative (if you are unsure, check the attached style guide for some of the more traditional lip strips)
