At powhiri for Steven Adams and his NBA team Oklahoma City Thunder 

On Thursday 24th August, SBHS Kapa Haka boys were privileged to perform at Nga Hau e Wha marae following the powhiri to welcome Steven Adams and his team who are here for the Steven Adams Training Camp at Celebration Stadium on Friday 25th August (a number of our basketball boys are attending the training camp). Among the dignatories the boys performed in front of, were Tā Mark Solomon (Ngāi Tahu) and the Chief of Police.

Meeting their hero was a highlight for many of the boys, including Queyloux Hakaria, who spoke on behalf of the Kapa Haka group at the powhiri.
