U15 Rugby summary – the boys started very well on a cold and wet Blenheim morning, catapulting to an early 21-0 lead from good hard running from the forward pack. As the game progressed the MBC team found their feet fighting back to a 21-10 halftime score. The momentum with MBC carried on with them taking their opportunities early, taking the lead with two quick tries; 21-24. Shirley Boys' dug deep, turned territory into possession and were able to hit back with 10 minutes to go, regaining the lead 31-24. Unfortunately, a few lapses in concentration gave MBC the opportunity with 3 minutes to go which they took, turning the tide once again and finishing the game off with a final try; score 31-26.
