In addition to the recent information request, I would like to bring to your attention some bus service changes which may affect SBHS students.

From Monday 29 October 2018, some Metro bus services are changing, or being discontinued. 

These changes are a result of Environment Canterbury's Long-Term Plan process, which was out for public consultation earlier this year. 

Below is a summary of service changes related to SBHS.

1)  Route 150 will be mostly absorbed into a new combined route 135 that replaces the current 135 and 150 services. (will be referred to as 135). This service travels between New Brighton and the Palms via Prestons. This service has a higher frequency and a longer span of operating hours than the current 150 service. 2)  A new school route (667) will run for students travelling from Spencerville via Prestons to Avonside Girls’ and Shirley Boys’ high schools. This service will be in place until the schools have relocated to the QEII site (Prestons and Spencerville will still be covered under the new school route network). Please see the route map above.
