Sunday May 5th the Shirley Boys' High School-Te Aratai College-Cashmere High School mixed team took on the 2024 South Island Regional Hillary Challenge.

The Hillary Challenge is an event run by Hillary Outdoors for Year 11-13 school teams. The South Island Regional Challenge this year, took place on Canterbury’s east coast with teams rogaining and mountain biking their way, over 6 hours, from Woodend Beach to Spencer Park.

This year the team of six from Shirley Boys', Te Aratai College and Cashmere High School worked their way into a very credible 12th place overall. A great day out and we are amped for next year to have a go at making the final.
