Cultural Events at SBHS

SBHS —

During June, Shirley celebrated our Pasifika cultures in a variety of ways.

We hosted students from 18 secondary schools for the SPACPAC Pasifika Leaders breakfast with special guest speaker Arden David, the personal development manager for Hurricanes.

We celebrated Samoan Language Week with a Pasifika family fono, where we unveiled our new SBHS ie faitaga, which will now be a part of our uniform.

Lastly, six of our senior Polyfest students visited the Educational Child Care Centre on Gayhurst Road, where the boys spent time with the children reading to them and teaching them some Polyfest dance moves.

Thanks to everyone who was involved in the events.
